Residence of Prof. Kumar Vikas, Darbhanga

This under-construction project accommodates a grand residence in a five-storey building with one semi-basement. The basement serves as parking and also accommodates the caretaker's room, toilet, and other service spaces. The Residence contains five bedrooms, a gym, a library, a kitchen, a small pantry, living, dining, and entry foyer. The upper two storeys are designed as a duplex. Pergola on the terrace enhances the usability of the terrace.

The building incorporates green measures like a rat-trap bond to enhance the insulation in the building, use of fly-ash bricks, use of solar panels, use of the double glazed windows, use of vertical garden on the west face of the building, etc.

The residence's interior has been designed with subtle colors and a balance of light and dark colors with different materials. A mix of materials has been incorporated such as wood, metal, and stone element considering Vastu and Feng-Sui. The locations and types of plants have been decided by both the concepts of landscape and the suggestions of Feng-Sui.
