It was an existing house of one floor and the client wanted an addition of another floor to accommodate the increased need for spaces. The new floor was to be designed in absolute contemporary style at the same time the ground floor was not to be modified for looks, as it could incur futile expenditure. Economical feasibility is the foremost requirement of any project. Thus, it was a challenge to design the upper storey which has to be contemporary and also needs to blend with the older ground storey.
